Man, I am done buying anything other than steels. I just bought the nice US slip for this a couple weeks but with Arrow releasing The Burbs I might have to DD on this one.

Day one, hopefully they will have it set up to play music like the US slip.
If not I'll take my extra slip and dissect it to be able to.

Yup, although I think the battery is dead in mine. I wouldn't mind DD'ing since I only paid $9.96 for the slip at Wallyworld.

Wow, Fox is just rolling these out. I wonder if there will be another wave of SDCC exclusive slipcovers with this artwork for 2014?
Also will the steelbook play music?

Oh God no more SDCC slips...I need one and it sold out. Even though I had it on order. And don't see why they couldn't get it to not play music. They would have to hide the device that plays the music so that could be an issue.

Fox has really gone very artsy with their new line of Steels. Similar to stuff they did with The Black Swan, and a few others last year. I like seeing that

this looks ugly to me, why the cartooney legs?... I don't own this yet but I will prob pass even though I love steels and get the amaray unless they change it

I agree...the cartoony legs are off putting to me. The slip looks much better.

People complain when the artwork is the same as the regular release and demand something new and different

People complain when they try something unique, and demand the same artwork as the regular release

Bottom line: you can't win

I personally think it looks great. I also think it's super cool that the back and spine appears to continue the keys from the front, so you'll see one continuous piano when you open it up.

I'm not complaining, I could care less. I am not the type that has to have every steelbook ever made so I am fine going with the version I like the most and in this case it is the slip. I just don't like that the pants look like they were colored with a crayon although that may seem fitting for this movie now that I think about it.

As far as the art work goes, it is only a mock up but it does not look like it matches up exactly which could turn some people off.

To me, all of the ones in this set have had pretty bad photoshop looking covers thus far. Amateurish.

Except for Rocky Horror.... that's just too funny.
