New Farscape TV Movie in Early Development - Blu-ray Forum

Well, for those who didn't believe Farscape would be back, it looks like a new movie could be coming our way from Justin Monjo, who is currently working on the script for a new movie (possibly as a TV film). While details are still sketchy, John Monjo, who wrote several of the episodes of the TV series has not only said that this could be released as a TV movie but also revealed the direction the movie could take.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm definitely excited that there is a new TV movie in the works. Now, if we could only get The Peacekeeper Wars released to Blu-ray.

It still is. I'm just glad to see that there is new movement on more Farscape. But, all likiness it'll probably be a TV movie.

Nice. Hopefully we'd get a new character who's the same species as Zhaan.

I always felt the show lost something after she left. I'm definitely on board for a new TV Movie at least.

This is great news if anything comes from it. (I'm immediately reminded of the "webisode" rumors that floated around for years).

I remember those reports as well. While this is very early in the process, hopefully, if the script is good enough, we'll start seeing a new production move forward on the movie. While ti would be nice to see this developed as a major motion picture, I think it's more likely that it'll be developed as a made for TV movie. But, I'd not sure if I like the whole "deals with Crichton's 19 year old son" plot. Crichton would end up being in his 50's or 60's, along with Aeryn.

I would have preferred something where the new movie tells a new story where Crichton, Aeryn, Rygel, Chiana are pressed into service due to a new threat to the universe that finds The Peacekeepers and the Scarrans seeking out Crichton's friends and family for help in dealing with a threat far worse than they had ever dealt with before.

I don't know if I want to see a Geriatric Crichton frelling all over the galaxy on Midol or BENGAY. lols

I don't think you can really have a new series without D'Argo. They could go back in time and rescue him and bring him to the future

D'Argo is dead. Finito. There's no way to retcon that. I'm hoping that more news is forthcoming soon on this new Farscape project.
