Wal-Mart is offering a Cyber Tuesday Deal on Sony BDP-300 with 5 free movies with your player, plus 5 more via the standard mail-in offer. They have discounted the price to $348. Not to bad of deal.

just a shame that Wal-Mart doesn't report to the Nielsen numbers but its a great deal for someone who doesn't want to spend to much on a Blu-Ray player plus getting 10 movies for free is all the well worth it

why do you all worry so much about the Nielson Numbers, they arent nearly as important as a studio seeing they have sold all the product regardless of numbers.
A sales a sale....If Wal-Mart sells 40% of the dvds sold, do you think studios ignore that just because they dont report numbers?

I dont think so, I think they see it, Wal-mart increases orders, more product is sold and so the system begins. If Wal-Mart devotes more space to a specific format, I think the competition notices.

bottom line is buy where the deals are,wherever just buy blu

the higher the Nielsen numbers for blu-ray the sooner this format war will be towards an end and plus hd-dud fanboys can see the exact numbers. i mean sure blu-ray already has it in the bag and toshiba just need to learn how to give up when they are losing the hd-dvd format horribly especially outside the u.s.

That is a great deal for some people that wants them. I would jump on this deal but I will use my PS3 for a blu-ray player untill sometime in mid 2008.

Just saw a wallmart/bluray ad. It was simple, 'the best price on bluray' & showed spiderman bd case all over the ad. That is all it was about, bluray & spiderman on bd @ wallmart.

I think this is a good deal! if i didnt have ps3 and i would had brought a bd player with this special deal! Its better than not selling BD players more we have BD exposure and more customers!
