Is it just me or did everyone miss J.S.A. is finally coming from Nova (dvdtop?) in september??

And there are more to chose from.

First time with english subs and hopefully better quality than the bad German disc.

I wish the entire film took place within the central story of the North & South soldiers. I actually think the wrap-around story is uninteresting. One of Park's few missteps. I know, probably not a very popular opinion around here.

Because categorizing based on where it was made serves no purpose and benefits no one while location based actually serves a use. Keep in mind this site is about releases, not movies.

I'm only interested in releases because of the films they contain.

it's weird they said it was shipped on 16th but it all started moving on 15th

Still don't expect it till Monday as Parcel force don't deliver on weekends

It takes about 2 weeks via K packet to Canada... so I will have to wait a bit.

I haven't watched either but unless they've utilized a new master, which usually isn't the case with these kinds of releases, it shouldn't be all that different from the German BD when it comes to detail and depth management at least.

Screen comparison between the German BD and Korean Superbit DVD

That release most likely also suffers from compression artifacts. This shouldn't be a problem on the Korean BD. But then again, just speculations...

Indeed, the german look with higher bitrate would be "enough" to satisfy me...
But I fear they would apply some DNR so it's why I ask
