Default 'Sandy Wexler'-Adam Sandler

Quote:
The film follows Sandy Wexler (Adam Sandler), a talent manager working in Los Angeles in the 1990s, who diligently represents a group of eccentric clients on the fringes of show business. His single-minded devotion is put to the test when he falls in love with his newest client, Courtney Clarke (Academy Award® and Grammy® winner Jennifer Hudson), a tremendously talented singer who he discovers at an amusement park.
The Netflix original film also stars Kevin James (True Memoirs of An International Assassin), Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Beastmaster), Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Nick Swardson (The Do-Over), Rob Schneider, Jane Seymour, Carl Weathers and Arsenio Hall. The film is directed by Steve Brill (The Do-Over). Paul Sado, Dan Bulla and Adam Sandler wrote the script. Happy Madison Productions’ Adam Sandler and Allen Covert serve as producers. Barry Bernardi and Tim Herlihy serve as executive producers. Coming to Netflix April 14.

God damn it, just when I thought he finally left that retarded acting behind him, he brings it back.

Oh no. I have nothing against Adam Sandler, but is he going to do thát voice again? It's not working and extremely annoying. I never understood why he does it sometimes. Takes me out of the movie every line he says.

The Do-Over was dreadful, but I'm a die hard Sandler fan so bring it on.

Ugh, that voice. Is this the sequel to Little Nicky?

The Do Over was surprisingly good to me. Not much to go on from this teaser other than we now know he is doing his Billy Madison.

I'm just happy for more Netflix originals. They tend to make nice saturday afternoon movies.

Yeah, the Do-Over was actually an surprise to me too didn't expect that much since Sandler hasn't had an great track record for his recent releases didn't see the spoof Western that hit Netflix awhile back though but i heard its pretty bad.

Out on Netflix today. Definitely his worst movie IMO. So boring.

The Do Over isn't anything great but I enjoyed it enough, I haven't seen The Ridiculous Six but I feel the worst of recent Sandler is The Cobbler (funny that the director is also responsible for the BP winner of that year).

According to Netflix this is 131 minutes, if true that's at least 20 minutes too long for this type of film.

Looks like a hack's take on Broadway Danny Rose.

Why did Netflix take this film on again?

I've got a soft spot for Sandler so I usually continue to see his movies no matter how bad they look. I got a few chuckles out of The Ridiculous 6 -- the baseball scene with John Turturro was actually very funny. The Do Over I thought looked decent but turned out to be pretty bad. I may not even watch Sandy Wexler... the trailer alone was hard to sit through. Sandler doing an annoying voice plus Jennifer Hudson sing-screaming non stop. No thanks.

Netflix has also added four new films to their initial four film deal with Sandler give how successful Sandler films have been for the service

The Do-Over wasn't great and neither was this one but I'll probably never watch The Ridiculous 6. That one has to be the worst of his Netflix films.

TR6 is a masterpiece compared to this one.

Sanders found out how to roll in the movie money. I have not enjoyed his films outside of Billy Madison, happy Gilmore, bulletproof, and ... I think that's it. I thought there was one more but I can't recall.

At this point I'd rather see him make follow ups to his earlier movies.

It's a shame veteran cinematographer Dean Semler (The Road Warrior, Beyond Thunderdome, Apocalypto, Dances With Wolves) is wasted on these.
