Is there anyone that uses this service?
I'm based in the UK and already have a Sky package but am tempted by this as you can get US tv packages that can be streamed through a roku device, smart tv ,tablet or smart phones. Packages start at $29.99- $79.99 and you can add the premium channels like hbo or starz at an additional cost. I'm planning ahead for when I emigrate but this looks promising as long as it works. |

Hello,
my name's Alex and I'm writing from Italy. I'd like to receive the US TV channels to improve my English and I found two providers that streams also in Europe: USTVNOW and NIMBLE TV. I'm going to watch them via a Roku 3 player. Each of them costs $30/month but they have different channels. USTVNOW streams: ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC, PBS, My9, A&E, Animal Planet, Bravo, Cartoon Network, CNBC, CNN, Comedy Central, Discovery Channel, ESPN, FX, Fox News, History, Lifetime, National Geographic, Nickelodeon, Spike, Syfy, TBS, TNT, USA while NIMBLE TV transmits these channels: Cable channels: Al Jazeera America, AXS TV, BabyFirst TV, Bloomberg HD, Boomerang, BYU-TV, CCTV News, Classic Art Showcase, Comedy Central HD, Country Music Television HD, CSPAN, Food Network HD, Free Speech TV, H2HD, Hallmark Channel HD, History HD, HITN, Home and Garden Television HD, Home Shopping Network, HUB HD, Kids and Teens Television, MSNBC HD, MTV2, NASA TV, Neewsmax, Oxygen, QVC, Russia Today, TBS HD, The Blaze TV, The Learning Channel HD, The Pentagon Channel, The Weather Channel HD, TV Guide Network, V-Me, WE tv HD. NYC regional channels: ABC, ZTECA AMERICA, CBS, FOX, ION, METV, MYNETWORKTV, NBC, NJTV, RNN, THE CW, UNIVISION, WLIW, WLNY, WMBC, WNET, WNJU, WNYE, WNYJ I'm interested in the NYC regional news channels and Nimble TV has them but the other channels seems pretty unknows to me. USTVNOW signals come from network affiliates in the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area and I have to say I'm not too interested in that area. What do you suggest? What's the best offer in your opinion? Thanks!! Alex |

Hi Alex,
Welcome to the forum! ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, and NBC are our main over-the-air channels. They get the most viewers and have a good selection of shows in different genres. With those channels, you will likely get access to many of these popular shows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014%E2...ision_schedule The rest of the streams that USTVNOW offers are also popular channels that have some good shows. You will get access to a variety of shows including nature, comedy, news, science, sports, and science fiction. The cable channels that NIMBLE TV offers are much less popular and several of them are unknown to me. Al Jazeera, Bloomberg, CCTV, CSPAN, Free Speech, MSNBC, NASA TV, Newsmax, Russia Today, and The Pentagon Channel are all news channels. QVC and the Home Shopping Network are shopping channels. The regional channels that NIMBLE TV offers also are not very good. Azteca, UNIVISION, and WNJU are Spanish channels. METV, MYNETWORKTV, and ION are not popular and do not have good shows. If you're interested in watching a variety of different shows in many genres, I would choose USTVNOW. If you're interested in watching lots of different news and political channels, I would choose NIMBLE TV. Evil Last edited by Evil; 12-10-2014 at 04:10 AM. |
