Gentleman's Agreement won Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Supporting Actress awards. Miracle on 34th Street won Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Story. Great Expectations won Best Art Direction and Best Cinematography in the Black and White categories. The Bishop's Wife only won Best Sound Recording. Crossfire didn't win anything.

Great Expectations. One of my favorite films of all-time.

I would have rounded out the Best Picture lineup with:

Black Narcissus
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
Odd Man Out
They Made Me a Fugitive
