Definitely a day one purchase, loved this movie. It was surprising pretty funny, with stunning animation and I adore it's retro horror look. Not in 3D though, 2D was perfectly fine.

Should come complete with a lovely slipcover like Coraline too!

Does anyone know if the UK release is the same as the US one - with regards to specs/extras?

UK is quite a bit cheaper, but I don't want a butchered release.

I thought it was absolutely great.

Don't forget there is a 3D combo pack for Coraline/ParaNorman for £20.99 on Amazon.

What is the general consensus on this for a blind buy?? I wanted to catch this at the cinema but didn't get round to it. Is it a film worthy of £15 of my hard earned cash??

All depends on how much you like:

a) Stop Motion
b) Zombies
c) Coraline

As a big fan of the above mentioned, I would say yes.

I dont normally watch animation flicks but this was very good!

For me Frankenweenie was slightly better. But I loved ParaNorman, much more my taste than Coraline.

Has anyones preorder started moving yet. Mine is with Play.com and normally they would despatch by now. Its not moved at all yet.

They are going out of business in the retail section so that may be why your order is a bit slow.

I had 2 pre-ordered with Play with 28th Jan release dates (Looper & Paranorman) and checked their status late last night and they weren't even into the processing stage at that point. So I cancelled and switched my orders to Amazon (I'm a prime member).

To be fair, in the past when Play have sent stuff out "late" I've still got it on the Saturday. I even got something the Saturday before Christmas! They sent it overnight on the Friday
