Default Flushed Away (2006) coming to Blu-ray in 2019.

Flushed Away will be released on March 06, 2019 courtesy of NBC Universal Entertainment Japan.

It can be pre-ordered from Amazon.co.jp here.

Hopefully this means a US based release is not far behind. If not, I'll certainly import this.

Woah, this completely flew under the radar. Then again I know why: a Japanese release. Great.

Default Prepare to meet your maker... your ice maker. [cackling evilly]

I had a chance to check this out over the weekend. Beautiful looking transfer.

Provided below within the spoiler link, a small sampling from the showing I had over the weekend. Enjoy!

A knock out of the park if you ask me and more importantly, another DVD retired. Gotta love it!

I hope it gets a US release like Over The Hedge.

I think it has to do with DWA switching distributors. By the time Blu-ray had become relevant, all the DreamWorks catalog films (both animated and live-action) were held by Paramount, who retained the rights to the animated films until 2014, when they were licensed to Fox. Before then, the only DWA catalog titles they'd released were the Shrek films, the Madagascar films, and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (note that I'm referring to the films Paramount only acquired during their tenure and not the ones they released themselves). Fox only reissued the existing catalog titles and brought the ten DWA releases they handled to Blu, However, pre-order listings for Shark Tale and Over the Hedge BDs to be shipped by Fox did surface, but ultimately not happen until Universal finally got the rights, resulting in those two (as of March 2019) being Walmart exclusives by UPHE, and the rest of the DWA catalog hitting BD.
