[Sky_Captain]

Nick O'Brien is the hard-drinking leader of the Regulators, an elite unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Ray Merrimen is the recently paroled leader of the Outlaws, a gang of ex-military men who use their expertise and tactical skills to evade the law. O'Brien, Merrimen and their crews soon find themselves on a direct collision course as the criminals hatch an elaborate plan for a seemingly impossible heist -- the city's Federal Reserve Bank.

No extended cut for the UK release. Extras wise, we lose the outtakes and trailers.

I also wouldn't put any stock in those audio options, as Wind River from STX also states Dolby Digital 5.1, yet carries DTS-HD-MA 5.1.

Was this any good? I wanted to see it, but Half Dollar always seems so bland to me, and Ice Chip looks so much like his father that it's surreal, and I can't help but compare. Plus, in either cut it's basically two and a half hours, which seems rather incredible.

I haven't watched it yet. I have the US disc sat here and planned to watch it last night, but my wife demanded that we revisit The Avengers in 3D.

I didn't mind at all.

I enjoyed it at the cinema, it's a cheaper version of Heat sure, but it has Gerard Butler with a gun

So there’s an extended cut elsewhere? Does it take include this version too?

Oh yeah US has it. 149 running. That’s 9 mins extra!!! Even taking the warning screen etc that’s still going to be a big difference.

The irony is that France and Germany are getting both cuts on Blu-ray and putting out 2xBD editions, so this is just the UK distributor being lazy/cheap.

I picked up the Universal US BD today, I hope it's good. I don't mind a bit of Gerry, even with the American accent, I don't know if I can manage to see Geostorm, though. That one looks far too sincere, and the whole thing with Andy Garcia and the "Secret Service agents"/actors/models in the trailer seemed diabolically lame.

Thanks to this thread my US order posted today and I should get this before the UK one and have a much better version, for the same price (I picked up a $4.99 title too so my order incl delivery is under £15 a film)
