I've always been interested in this, but the Flicker Alley release almost never goes on sale and is a bit pricey. Might have to pull the trigger on this one, though. With free global shipping straight from Eureka, this should be cheaper.

Preferably all the silent versions of Prague - the restored and export cuts of the 1913 version (on English-friendly DVD in Germany) and the 1926 version.

I'll probably double dip and get this title eventually but I'm not in a hurry since I own the Flicker Alley version. Wonder if this means Eureka will also release Leni's The Last Warning too? I believe The Cat and the Canary needs a lot of work before being BluRay quality.

That one's Lon Chaney. I always think it's Lon Chaney in The Man Who Laughs but it's not, although I think it was originally intended to be. |

Easy way to remember that this one doesn’t have Lon Chaney is to remember at the time this film was released he was under contract at MGM. London After Midnight was lost during the MGM Vault Fire in the 1960s in which Garbo’s The Divine Woman was also lost except for the two small fragments which I think are about 9 minutes and was included on the Garbo 3 Film Silents DVD as an extra. Though not too many Universal silents had a happy fate during the late 1940s as I believed many were junked by the new ownership group Universal-International.
