Miyazaki is arguably the most famous/popular filmmaker in the anime world! Helped create/start Studio Ghibli. Have been making the best anime since 1985!

To be fair, I've never seen any of these films, but at least I know what they are!

Totoro is possibly THE greatest animated movie of all time, and if it's not then Spirited Away IS.

This boxset is going to be very difficult to resist, even though I already have most of the movies!

I prefer the UK & Japanese collections to this however. Those all had individual cases for each film. They are both sold out and are going for INSANE prices on the resell market.

UK :

Japan :

nice set, I own them all already It's not all that surprising though, it's basically the same as the Japan set but without the digipaks in favor of one digibook.

I'd grab it if it's around $100-$150. I'm actually quite interested in watching his films. I have one roommate that is OBSESSED with Miyazaki. Has a tattoo from one of his films, Princes Mononoke. I've just never been a fan of anime, and haven't gotten around to these.

I do LOVE Pixar though, and I get the feeling that these films are basically Japanese version of Pixar. Animated films that cater more to an adult crowd.

I think this will be over $200. Those movies all sell for $20-$25 each in the US.

I was considering buying all the Japanese Studio Ghibli Titles separate and could save a lot of money buying a nice set like this.

This is how I've always thought of Ghibli

I already own all these and I love the golden Disney slips so I'm gonna pass, but this is a great set of movies for sure

Hm...wonder if this set will include the remastered Nausicaä like the JP set did, or if it will just repackage the old disc again.
