I was curious where you recommend I put a sub in this setup or if I should move the left speaker over?
Right now I have the two front speakers the same distance apart from the center; but where I sit is a bit towards the left speaker. |

where have you placed it thus far and what was the low end response of said placements?
i guess i'm saying, that's up to you and how it feels. us telling you where to place it is only worth how it might look, how it sounds and feels, well, only you would know that. nice A/V furniture! good luck, keep us posted. |

If you really want to know where the sub wants to be located, place it in your listening position, and do the sub crawl.

I can't see where the back wall is, but that room is going to be hard to get really good sound out of. It looks like your listening chair is smack dab in the middle of the primary reflection from the mains. And if you put the sub that close to the left wall, you'll probably pick up bass on the right on the rebound off the opposite wall. And the combination of sitting a bit to the left and the couch on the right is going to make your L/R balance really funky.
If you can do it, reducing the size of the cabinet in the front would allow you to move your mains away from the front and side walls a bit, and might help the imbalance problem. It also would allow you to put your sub closer to the center of the room. Sitting back a little further in the room (2/3s of the way from the front wall) would help with reflections. |
