I own Assassin's and it blew me away, a pleasant surprise. It depends on what type of action platform you prefer. Assassin's is a little GTA(there are little flags that you can find) and Prince Of Persia. I think Uncharted is a little more like Tomb Raider. Either way the best way to decide is to rent them both and see for yourself which you prefer.

I've found Assassin's Creed has got very repetitive fast, however. You keeps doing the same "missions" over and over unlike GTA which provides a plethora of different things to do. I'll be selling it to buy Uncharted. |

I bought both also. Story-wise, the premise behind Assassins Creed is a bit misleading. That, in a sense, affected my opinion of the two. I personally found Uncharted: Drake's Fortune the better of the two in terms of fun. It is more non-stop action and does not have big breaks in action like Assassins Creed does.

As an avid gamer who owns a PS3, Wii, and a 360, I'll tell you that Uncharted has blown me away, and it's the 1st game to do so since Gears of War. I own Assassin's too, but Assassin's Creed has failed to wrap me up in it's story and game play the way that Uncharted has done.
My thoughts on each.... Uncharted AI is far more challenging. Uncharted game play is more that deeper. Uncharted has more levels of difficulties, which adds replay value. Uncharted has more hidden items for you to look for. And Uncharted has a award system that is much the 1000 achievements points of the 360. Both games are about 14-16 hours longs, but AC seems to offer no additional replay value to once you have defeated it unless you failed to collect the hidden flags. I would tell you that Uncharted is your choice hands down, but everyone is different. To each their own... or so they say. Either choice is good. Enjoy whatever one you get. =D |

I bought both games yesterday and put about 1.5 - 2 hours into each. I think both games are definite winners, but I did have a bit more fun with Uncharted.

I think most people will agree that these two games are excellent additions to your PS3 library of games, and mainly that you can't go wrong with either of them....
I played the Uncharted Demo (someone bought it for me for christmas so unfortunately I can't buy it) and I had a whole lot of fun and thought the graphics were awesome.... I do however own Assassins Creed and the game is just truly awesome. I know that a lot of people feel that it is repetative, and it does get that way sometimes, but it is still a whole lot of fun. I have become addicted to completing each and every part of the assassinations so far and I am half way through the game and enjoying every minute of it... I think which one you would get first depends on the kind of mood you are in at this point... Comparing Assassins Creed to PoP is a little misleading because PoP was most defintely an adventure game with lots of action and platforming.... Assassins Creed can be a little slow on the action at points. While you can start fights and battle guards, the main focus of Assassins Creed is like being a predator... Its a lot of stalking your prey before you strike. Watching and waiting till the perfect time when you can casually sneak foward, strike quickly, and avoid the firestorm to follow.... Its a great game, but so is Uncharted.... |

Said it before and I will say it again. I am sure Assassins creed is a great game and I will be buying it, but there is no way AC is better then Uncharted. I would get uncharted if I were you as the controls are fun yet simplistic, the gameplay challenging, the graphics amazing and replay is high. I can't say Assassins Creed achieves the same in all those categories.

Depends on what type of game you like, personally I think Uncharted blows HS out of the water.

I own AC and think this is one of those games you should test out (or rent) before you buy. I didn't, and am disappointed with the game. Awesome graphics, animation and style of play but the whole premise and how you experience the game is too much of a turn-off to me.
The whole Animus thing (definitely ask or find out what this is before you buy it), collecting flags with no real benefit other than exploration, and how the developers kinda cheat (IMO - i.e. big blue wall anyone?) with how the story plays out are some examples of the game I dislike. I can't dispute that some may think this is one of the best PS3 games but i'm writing this because it didn't turn out for my taste. I played the demo of Uncharted and will be eBay-ing AC to pick it up. |

I have both and I will say Uncharted is the better of the two. While AC is great, it can really get repetitive after a while. The good thing about AC is, thats it has alot of side missions that will give the game some legs. Im about 3/4 through both games.

Hi All,
First post...but longtime lurker.. Anyway...I dont own Uncharted but am in the middle of playing Assassin's Creed..... Basically it's doing the same thing 9 times, each time giving you a little more to the storyline and character relationship....I've been playing for what seems likes days and days on end.... When you break it down outside of the sneaking and ability to climb on anything that sticks out more than a few inches: Essentially you have something like 9 separate assassination subjects ...each "adventure" is essentially you doing the same thing EVERY time. Save Citizens.....Scale really tall lookouts...remain "hidden", pickpocket, pick fights, evesdrop, repeat. The Bosses are ridiculously easy and the controls tend to get VERY unresponsive when you're being chased by 12+ Guards and trying to scale a ladder. Taking on 12 + is really no challenge either.....the only challenge I've really been posed with that wasn't as a result of my own stupidity has been trying to flee from inside the castles walls as you tend to get easily lost when you have an army after you and are just looking to get out. There are also some 7-10 different flag classes that you can collect (ranging from 20-100 flags of each type). You get Nothing for collecting them except to say "Hey I collected All of the Assassin's Flags...or I collected all of the Jerusalem Crosses etc....I started trying to save EVERY citizen and Scale EVERY tower...now I'm on level 7 and back at Acre for the 3rd time and basically just trying to wiz through the game for the sake of just finishing it.....I dont get much time with my oncall schedule at work and my upcoming wedding..I just want to complete it and then move on... It IS however a very PRETTY game, though the PS3 version suffers from some framerate issues at times... I'm ready to move on....but for some reason I feel compelled to complete the damn thing. |
