Capcom has announced The Disney Afternoon Collection which, despite its frankly atrocious name, actually sounds super cool. Essentially it's a PlayStation 4 compilation of six classic games updated with 1080p visuals, and it's launching on 18th April for £15.99 in Europe and $19.99 in North America.

Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers: This classic lets players team up with a friend in co-op play as they assume the roles of the mischievous Chip and Dale as they take on memorable villain Fat Cat and attempt to solve the mystery of a missing kitten.
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2: Fat Cat has escaped and his plans are even more dastardly this time. The titular heroes and supporting cast Monterey Jack, Gadget, and Zipper must stop Fat Cat from his evil dream of world domination!
Darkwing Duck: Play as the original caped crusader and fight a city full of criminals from the infamous F.O.W.L. organization in this action-packed platforming epic.
DuckTales: In this iconic platforming adventure, players help Scrooge McDuck fill his feathery pockets with vast riches from across the world.
DuckTales 2: The sequel to the original game comes jam-packed with more action and an even bigger caper set in new locations like the Bermuda Triangle and Niagara Falls!
TaleSpin: Take to the skies as Baloo the bear navigates his plane through exotic and dangerous locations in this side-scrolling shoot-em-up.

Each title will come with filtering options so that you can toggle between the original visuals and the high-definition presentation, as well as Boss Rush and Time Attack modes. There'll also be an in-game museum for you to explore, including original art, assets, and information about the original titles.

I'll get it just for the Moon stage music from DuckTales. I'm very familiar with all of them but TaleSpin.

More info. This is the "new Capcom compilation" that Digital Eclipse was working on. It's not a remaster so the feel of the games should be preserved.

The compilation doesn't include HD-ified graphics or remastered music—which might be good news for anybody who thinks the 2013 Duck Tales remaster was a little lacking. Also, the wizards at Digital Eclipse, who handled the top-notch Mega Man Collection for modern consoles, do not appear to be slacking on their latest Capcom release. For starters, every game in the Disney Afternoon Collection will include an optional "rewind" button so that players can turn back time whenever the original games' brutal difficulty or checkpoint systems stymie their progress. Meanwhile, new "time attack" and "boss attack" modes will let diehard players test their skills and climb online leaderboards (with the rewind option disabled, naturally).

Just like that Mega Man comp, this collection will also include a treasure trove of additional vault content, including "concept art, sketches, music, and other fun extras." That stuff is fun, but we're more interested in Digital Eclipse once again flexing its retro-archival muscles in preserving the code and feel of NES hardware gaming on modern platforms. The comp is slated to launch on April 18 for $19.99.

Is this avaliable in Europe? I don't see if up on the Ireland/UK PlayStation yet to pre order and have been checking since it was announced.can only find it up on US store.

I plan to get this. It will be nice to have Ducktales 2 and Chip N' Dale 2 in some kind of official form without paying really absurd prices for them.

I really hope this gets released on the Nintendo Switch eventually. I would love the option to play them portably or on the TV.
