Is there any on here & where ya from

I'm planning on getting one & most likely looking at a TT to avoid regret later in terms of wanting more horsepower after kitting it all up with a new bodykit, spoiler etc & a respray

19 atm but it will be a project car for when i'm 21-22 & insurance works out a bit better & can afford the extortionate rates we get charged as young drivers of good cars in UK

Officially it sucks being an average young driver in UK, even getting insured on the most rubbish of cars is a heart stopping experience when you see figures so i'm not expecting much sympathy at 23

But i can share a little treat i got just messing around

At the age of 23 or 25 (can't remember) & being a MD of a business, declairing a Ferrari F430 coupe as a £70k value, fully comprehensive insurance with a £1k excess i was quoted £3.5k

Really weird this insurance 'Game'

I had a Supra, but then my Fiance decided to Surprise me by putting a body kit on it, so I gave it away. For Free. Just To Piss Him Off.

So I bought a Celica, and told him never to touch it. I'm really pissed off now God Damn it!

Watch Fast and the Furious much?

Engine/Suspension Mods > Looks

ALWAYS.

The only real mod you can do for looks is also for performance, lightweight forged rims.

The only exception to doing all that other stuff is if you plan on making it a show car.

The only cosmetic mod I'd ever do on a Supra is removing the rear wing. Even that's debatable, but they do look pretty damn sleek without it.

See, I agree... I hate Body Kits. But Some people like them. I'm not going to pick on them, but usually they can't drive.

I love the old school look of the FC. The FD seems too long to me.

I have watched F&F but tbh, those cars look really tacky most of time & i see your point, would mostly want a show car look, but if you ever do pull up to a ferrari his 'more than you can afford pal' ain't gonna end good for him

WOW, that must have taken him aback, how long were you still together

Celica's ain't bad but no contest against a supra

Hopefully get one soon(ish) but the insurance is really a killing off factor atm, not easy being a young guy (19) & trying to get that in a 'high risk' area

Might go with a MR2 for a bit, they're not bad & stylish & only 2 litre so insurance should be cheapish

I know... But I love Isabelle, my Celica. She's still stock... but that's okay. I'll work on her Late.

We're still together... He can't touch my Car.

Bringing this old post back from the dead. Just in case any of you are still on here.

My brother owns a very nice white '89 Supra Turbo.

My summer baby is an '88 Mazda RX-7 10th AE Turbo.

Both rust free. Always garaged in winter and still looking very good 25+ years later. We have fun cruising together but it doesn't happen anywhere near enough.

Very nice cars you and your brother have!

I use to own a 1985 GSL-SE Rx7 that was modded tastefully. Man I miss taking out that car on nice days! I would love to own another rotary, probably FD or my old FB and mod the thing with a turbocharged 13BREW.

I was shopping around for Supras but I missed the boat on one back in 07. This guy came from a wealthy family (The supra was the 'cheapest' car in his garage) and he had a white 1996 White supra that has been modded with practically everything from HKS. The guy didn't need the money but he also didn't want to give it away. I got him down from $35K to $30K and I walked from the deal. Looking back I should have bought that car just because it was a very fun, bullet built street car.
