Great show finished its first run on the BBC.
Written by Steve Delaney who plays Count Arthur Strong in the show and Graham Linehan who created both the IT crowd and Father Ted. This was originally a radio show and radio shows are not normally a media of choice for me but Ive started to listen to his repeated show on BBC 4 extra on Tuesdays at 11pm ( its available on iplayer also). The dvd of the series is available now but I may pick up the radio shows on itunes as they are at a reasonable price and wait for the dvd to drop price a bit |

Watched an episode being taped this Friday just gone.
If you get a chance,do watch the first series as its great and the second series will be on later in the year. The show doesn't get the ratings it deserves so when it's on give it a try,or see if it is on BBC America,Netflix or if you really want to go out of your way import the DVD. Just found out its available on HULU in the states. Very much worth your time. Last edited by Sodslaw; 07-06-2014 at 09:22 PM. |

The show will be moving from BBC2 to BBC1 in the new year.
Surprised about the delay in the showing of the second series. The Count is on tour in the New Year, can't wait to see his show! |

If you haven't watched any of the series yet,it's on tonight at 10.35pm and it is the funniest episode of series 2

This weeks was hilarious, while this obviously rooted in classic sit com style you can tell Graham Lineham has had his finger prints on this, echoes of Father Ted in there definitely.
The riffing on Misery was genius and Delaney and Kinnear have great chemistry although it was Delaney who stole it this week. I wasn't sure about the 1st series but it grew on me and had a great closing episode with just the right amount of pathos. They've really hit the ground running the second time round each episode has been great and this weeks was the funniest yet. Apparently Arthur is a living statue next week, I can't wait! |

At last, another fan in the making on the forum
There's only one further episode that I haven't seen which sounds like the next one based on your description Even though I watched quite a few recorded I can't help but watch them when they are broadcast. As for the pathos, there will be more but nothing like the gut punching one last season I'm traveling next week to see the first date of his tour and I'm very much looking forward to it |
