My theatre got Dumbo, Hotel Mumbai, Gloria Bell, Unplanned (on 2 screens for some reason, idk why it looks like trash), and a movie titled Indian Horse, a Canadian Native American film that looks like it was released last April but according to BoxOfficeMojo was in a few theatres a few weeks ago.

I think Disney made an error releasing all of these live-action "re-franchises" so close to each other on the calendar. It looks similar to the Lego movie spinoffs.

I'm sure Lion King will do well. I guess they're all international plays now that Dumbo won't meet its budget domestically.

Yeah, it’s really excessive, even more so when you add in a Maleficent sequel and Lady & The Tramp on Disney+ (though they may also give it a limited theatrical release as other streaming services do) this fall.

I do think putting Lion King as the last of the three in the next few months makes sense though, as people will go see that even if they are fatigued by the concept in general.

Dumbo opens at #1 FRI with $15.3M and could be headed for $51M area for the whole wknd #boxoffice.

#UsMovie grossed $10.2M on its second FRI and is headed to roughly $34M in its second wknd for a drop of 53%. Reasonable for a horror pic with upfront excitement. Cume shd soar to about $129M thru SUN and surpass $176M of #GetOut by end of its run.
