Antz on Bluray? - Blu-ray Forum

One of my favorite movies from when i was little was the animated movie known as Antz. I am surprised that this is not in bluray yet.

WHY IS THIS NOT ON BLURAY YET!!! Come on Dreamworks.

Maybe they need to re-render it for 4K and feel it's too expensive to create a new 4K master for little return on a bluray release?

Also 'Over the Hedge'. But I saw iTunes has it now so maybe that is on the way.

A few other Dreamworks titles are finally trickling out (Spirit etc). So hopefully not too long??? Pretty please DW?

I do remember that this gem from Dreamworks was in fact released in a pre-digital era on DVD: although it was rendered in CGI, they actually scanned the film stock for the DVD instead of using digital source directly (like their competition at Pixar did).

However, it is long overdue that Antz be released on BluRay. It has some great voice acting performances by actors like Woody Allen, Sylvester Stallone, Gene Hackman, the great Anne Bancroft... strange that Dreamworks keeps sitting on it.

Loved this one since i was a teen seeing it in theaters 4 times and it's like the insect version of Watership Down sort of speak.

It needs a BD release
