Default Need help with LG settings before calibration.

Hi to all,

After having a read through this http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10457. I've decided to go ahead and have a go at calibratiing my LG LCD TV myself, BUT before I go ahead and fork out for all the equipment, I was just wondering (hoping) if anyone knew where on an LG LD450 series I can find the RGB LowEnd and RGB HighEnd controls?
I believe the manufacturers use various names for these controls, but so far I've been un-successful with my search. I've looked around the net, been through the manual that came with the TV and can't find anything.

Would anyone know where these controls can be found or what LG would call them. Even better, has anyone used the guide I've been reading to calibrate an LG panel?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to fork out only to find it's been a waste of time and money.

Through service menu.

To get to service menu hold down the menu button on remote for 6 sec till a pass prompt comes on screen. Then enter 8, 7, 4, 1, on remote.

for highs you will need to find; con, drv, or gain
for lows find; bright, or cut

Thanks for that. Although that method don't seem to work for getting the service menu up on my TV.

I did however take another look at the 'expert settings' on the TV last night just after I posted and found the following controls:

Red Contrast
Green Contrast
Blue Contrast

Red Brightness
Green Brightness
Blue Brightness

I can only (at this point) assume these are the controls that I'm looking for.

If anyone could confirm or not whether this is what I'm looking for, I'd be most grateful.

Those are the right settings, remember contrast is for high adjustment. Also, if your TV has isf. Pic mode you can do a locked day/night mode by entering 8,7,4,1 with cursor over expert setting

Thanks very much, I thought they were the ones I was looking for.

Out of interest, do you have any experience with the Eye-One and Colormeter HCFR at all.

Hello, I am confused and require your expertise. I am looking to calibrate my LG PB5600 (plasma) and need to find the control RGBhighEnd and RGBLowEnd for Red and Blue color respectively.

Are they located in Service Menu or Expert-Control-CMS, and how are they called in the menu.

Thank you in advance.
