Default Spiderman 2 vs. The Dark Knight

It's been a while since I've watched Spiderman 2, and I forgot how fantastic this movie is. I'm kind of burnt out on TDK...I've just seen it sooooo many times that I can't even get through it anymore, so my vote is a little biased.

Anyway, I vote Spiderman 2.

Funny, I just finished watching Spiderman 2 (seen it about 3 times now) an hour ago and thought how much I really didn't like it. After TDK (watched about 7 times) and BB coming out, the Spiderman films just don't cut it.

Spider-Man 2 wins, it's the best Spider-Man movie ever, Dark Knight isn't even the best Batman movie ever.

Come on, "Dark Knight isn't even the best Batman movie ever"? Seriously? Unless you're referring to Mask of the Phantasm, I gotta cry foul. I love Tim Burton, but his Batman films are too cartoony (tho I did love Danny DeVito's Penguin), and don't even get me started on Joel Schumacher's 2 trainwrecks. Don't get me wrong, though, I think Spider-Man 2 is an amazing movie.

Batman Begins is the better Batman movie, TDK could be argued to be a Two-Face/Harvey Dent movie, a mob movie, a Joker movie or even a Jim Gordon movie.

I agree as well that Batman Begins was better than TDK. TDK is way overrated IMO.

I liked the Dark Knight mor I felt it was more in depth and it worked towards the Dark Knight Rises. Spiderman 3 ruined the Rami trilogy.

Spiderman 2 has to be in my top 5 comic book movies ever.

Comic Book Movies top 5

1. Dark Knight
2. Batman Begins
3. Dark Knight Rises
4. Spider Man 2
5. Iron Man

TDK but that's more from a preference of Batman to Spidey. Both are damn fine films.

I like Spider-Man 2, but The Dark Knight is the barometer by which all other superhero films are measured. Nothing else comes close in my book.

I really really like Spider-man 2, but I'm going to have to go with the Dark Knight.

Really? Tobey Maguire's exasperation face bothers you that much? My biggest problem with S-M 2 was the part where he was unmasked and all those people swore to protect his secret then he put the hood back on.

To me, this is a tough call. Both are excellent films in their own right. Spider-man 2 is the better comic book movie, IMO, whereas TDK has better acting. And though they can be compared and dissected a lot, I think the easiest way to judge is based on re-playability. In that case, I'd much rather watch Spider-Man 2 due to it's quicker pacing. So, my vote is for Spidey on this one.

I'm going to have to agree with you on that. Spiderman is a much easier film to watch. I think the acting was actually superb in SP2. Dark Knight had great acting as well.

I can think of 5 Batman movies alone that are much better then Spiderman 2. Such a no brainer.
