Voice Actor Nolan North Confirms Existence of The Last of Us 2 - Blu-ray Forum

Nolan North is one of the main voice actor for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and he might have just accidentally confirmed The Last of Us 2 during one of his interviews.

Speaking at Metrocon 2015, at around the 1:06:30 mark, Nolan North was asked about his future projects from Naughty Dog. Since he has been working with Naughty Dog for a long time now, it is understandable that he knows about their future project and he might have inadvertently leaked The Last of Us sequel.

“For now the last one. I know they’re doing The Last of Us 2, but my character in The Last of Us had an untimely demise, ” says Nolan North in the video, seemingly confirming a sequel to the critical and commercial hit.

The Last of Us was re-released on the PS4 last year in August and the development team is currently hard at work on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End for the PS4.

He's since said he has no inside knowledge that it's being made and seems to be assuming that it is.

My take on this is that with or without Nolan North's comments I know in my mind there is almost no way that The Last of Us 2 isn't Naughty Dog's next game to make after Uncharted 4. With them doing the remastered version of the first one and having that as a pack-in game etc with PS4 consoles I think Sony knows that they are pretty much using TLOU Remastered not only as a bundled game right now but it also creates a much bigger audience for The Last of Us 2 when that comes out. I don't see The Last of Us 2 coming out for anywhere between 3-4 years after Uncharted 4 though. It's going to take some time.
