Default Help! BluRay disk not recognized at all

Consistent issue the past 2 weeks. If I put in a disk, the system doesn't recognize anything has been inserted. To be specific, it's not that the disk won't play, but the main menu of the system never changes to show that a disk has been inserted. I have to unplug and restart the system to get it to realize something is inside

Any help is appreciated!

Apparently caused by recent update....need to eject disc before turning off, and then use "power off" and not rest mode

Sucks, but worked when I turned back in. Disk read fine

Yes. I've had the same problem since the latest update. If in rest mode and you eject the disk using the eject button; it will not recognize the next BD or DVD that is inserted.

A: wake the PS4 with the PS button and use the xmb eject button
OR
B: Insert your BD, get the corrupted data error, power off, power on

They definitely need to fix this.
