Default Kino MGM Wishlist

Kino continues to roll 'em out like there's no tomorrow. There's never been a better time to be a film fan than now. So which MGM titles would you like to see released? I would love these:

The Earthling (1980)
Florida Straits (1986)
No Way Out (1987)
Alien Predator (?)
Blue Steel (1990)
After Midnight (1989)
Zapped! (1982)
The Taking of Pelham 123 (I know it was already released but it could use an SE)
The Day After
The Heavenly Kid
Secret Admirer
Valley Girl

He Walked By Night
Monstroid
Curse of the Faceless Man
The Rift
Pharaohs Curse
99 River Street
Donovans Brain
Yongary
Konga
Curse / Curse II

These are the ones I know are still out there - I certainly hope Kino can get these.. I know Shout Factory prefers more contemporary titles but Kino is picking up what they passed on + Kino has no problems licensing older films..

Decided to get the German Blu-ray release of Blue Steel, after waiting for ages for any sign of a UK and US Blu-ray release. Think there was just a trailer on the German Blu-ray, so would double dip and get a US Blu-ray if there were some extras.

No Way Out is one of those 80's films which I've seen bits of TV, but have been meaning to see for ages. For some reason I had in my mind it was owned by Warner Brothers. I'd very much like Kino to release it on Blu-ray (ideally with interviews from the cast) if no other label is showing interest in releasing it on Blu-ray (if the rights were available in the US, UK and Europe).

Best Seller has had a US Blu-ray release from Olive Films, and it's being released on Blu-ray in France next month. Fingers crossed the transfer is better than Olive Films' Blu-ray transfer.

Some MGM titles I'd like Kino to release on Blu-ray:

Cop (this James Woods film is crying out for a Blu-ray release)

Prom Night II: Hello Mary Lou (Synapse released the first Prom Night film on Blu-ray. The first sequel was released on US DVD by MGM, and based on it's DVD Compare listing page the US DVD release is in anamorphic widescreen (the Network DVD release is apparently in a fullscreen aspect ratio). Would very much like this to get a Blu-ray release. Do elements exist for a Blu-ray release? I'd like to see a Blu-ray release with a fresh transfer and plenty of extras (including interviews with the cast and any possible deleted scenes).

Special Effects (this film starred Zoe Lund, who also starred in the film Ms.45).

MGM doesn't own Prom Night II or The Beastmaster anymore.

I'm in for The heavenly Kid.

I would like Missing in Action 3 if MGM has the rights.

Even though Kino drops the ball half the time with shoddy transfers and lack of english subs, I wish someone would release the early John Sayles films (or any Sayles film) on blu. I know Baby It's You is coming, but MGM previously released Return of the Secaucus Seven, Lianna, Brother From Another Planet, Eight Men Out, Casa de Los Babys. Problem is, I know they wouldn't be new transfers, so using an antiquated scan of extremely low budget films wouldn't be that much of an upgrade form DVD anyway.

Hell, all the Cannon. All that everyone else hasn't claimed, please.

There's one title that myself and Pondo would buy if released.
The Party Animal

Who owns the rights to Prom Night II: Hello Mary Lou and The Beastmaster now? You forgot to mention it in your post.

Like with the titles I suggested in my first post in this thread, there are a few more titles which I'd like Kino to release on Blu-ray, which I assume are still part of the MGM library. The titles below have all been released as MOD DVD titles (as part of the MGM Limited Edition Collection line?):

The Ambulance
The Caller (was this in the fullscreen aspect ratio on the MOD DVD?)
Incident in an Alley (this was apparently in the wrong aspect ratio on the MOD DVD. So would like this to be released on Blu-ray in the correct aspect ratio).

MisterLime said Secret Admirer was picked up but not by Kino. Maybe Olive? I believe he also said that MGM wants to release THE DAY AFTER themselves. There's no rhyme or reason to what MGM decides what to handle themselves but at least it's coming out (albeit with a horrible photoshopped cover).
