Default Are there HD laptops that give the "soap opera look"

or do I have to hook up the cables to the TV to get that when I play my Blu-Ray movies? Thanks in advance.

Dead thread, but I will revive it because I never saw any one answer it (in fact, I've never seen this thread).

For anyone that's interested - you can achieve the "soap opera", 120hz look by using a little tool called SVP (Smooth Video Project). You will need a powerful machine to use this effect on blu-ray 1080p content (Intell i5 quad, AMD FX Quad processor or higher) .

I'm actually using it in my upgraded HTPC. I've watched Monsters University and LOTR ROTK with it using JRiver Red October HQ base settings (and the necessary custom adjustments) and it plays incredibly smooth and looks too real!!!!

For those with JRiver, here's the link on how to implement it in your system

P.S. You don't need a 120hz monitor/TV for this to work!!!!!
