I don't know how to determine the percentages (without taking the time to do some math) so I'll just list the info I can quickly access.
Death Metal* - 230 hours, 200+ albums, 2000+ songs R & B** - 36 hours, 40+ albums, 570+ songs Punk - 30 hours, 40+ albums, 500+ songs Heavy Metal - 30 hours, 40+ albums, 360+ songs Hardcore Punk - 29 hours, 50+ albums, 740+ songs Country - 24 hours, 30+ albums, 460+ songs Hip Hop - 21 hours, 25+ albums, 380+ songs Thrash Metal - 21 hours, 20+ albums, 260+ songs Disclaimer: There are others, but they're all under twenty hours. These numbers change all the time. Can't promise that all songs are correctly categorized. ![]() *This includes many subgenres others may choose to separate such as death, black, grind, sludge, etc. which may partly explain why its so overrepresented. **This is also composed of many similar genres such as r&b, souls, blues, funk, etc. |

Most of my collection is "rock" dating from the mid-60s and onward. Jazz, Blues, R&B and Folk are probably evenly split. A small percentage only is classical with about 100 albums.
I listen to a lot of Progressive Rock, Acoustic music covering any genre, and solo male/female singer/songwriters. |
