Not me. This is one of the greatest documentaries ever made and a classic I've long been waiting for to get released on BD.

Indeed. Too bad there seems to be little interest in this release. Could be due to the unique subject matter, gay black and latino men who expresss themselves to the fullest? At the end of the day, these are human beings who have the guts to be themselves despite what society thinks and I think that's very enlightening.

I think there is plenty of interest in it, I’m not surprised that there isn’t on here.

Drag has gone mainstream with Drag Race and trans is a civil rights issue which has been hitting the news for the last few years. Pose is a current drama series inspired by Paris is Burning, so this is a timely release.

I wished The Queen (1968) would also get a release. It’s a documentary about the NY ballroom drag scene in the late 60s, only been able to catch it on YouTube. The two films make a great double feature.

I think this is the greatest documentary ever made. Also surprised there isn't a lot of interest for this one on here, but I'd be willing to bet that 90% of the users of this site are straight white men in their 40s-50s, so not really the target demographic of this one (I'm a straight white man in my late 30s, but my politics are of the Bernie variety so not a lot in common with my kind).

I think in ways this might be lesser known in bigger circles. I myself didn't learn this was a thing until a couple years ago.

In any case I've never seen it before but I'll be grabbing it.

It’s currently streaming on Netflix. That’s how I watched it for the first time a couple of months ago.

This got a theatrical re-release (in NYC at least) recently, but I couldn't make it. Hopefully that means it'll be more widely available soon.

I'm also not surprised that the interest on this site hasn't been huge. The general demographic of Blu-ray.com isn't one that typically dives into this kind of thing. However, I know of a lot of other people in my own life and on other sites that are very excited about this (there was a long thread on the Criterion subreddit of users who were excited specifically for this release).

Also, The Queen got a restoration from Kino Lorber last year! I saw it here in Chicago and it looks great! They have it on iTunes right now, but I'm hoping they do a disc release next year!

Kino released The Queen in a new restoration theatrically, so I assume they will handle home video.
