I'm going for the Best Buy exclusive instead. It will have an extra disc with additional content.
I'd be more tempted with Target's exclusive if it was a Steelbook. Though even then, I'd be reluctant. There's no guarantee that they will continue to have similar exclusive packaging for future seasons. And it would annoy me to get this exclusive packaging and have it be inconsistent with future releases. |

I went for the Best Buy exclusive. It kind of sucks that it's a DVD instead of a Blu-Ray for the bonus features, but IMO it's still better than nothing. The G1 tin case is certainly a bad move, and I passed on that. And the only other alternative would be the standard release with no additional bonus disc at all. Since the physical size of the case is the same regardless of the extra disc (and will not take up extra room on the shelf), there's really no down side to picking the Best Buy exclusive over the standard release. |
