Default Starhunter: Transformation (Season 3) coming in 2016

In the early 2000s, a low budget sci-fi show, called Starhunter with Michael Pare aired 22 episodes, following the adventures of a pilot who's wife and child were stolen from him. It was followed up a couple years later with Starhunter 2300 with an additional 22 episodes, and with a different lead actor. Well, believe it or not, thee show is coming back with a 3rd season called Starhunter Transformation with another 22 episodes and with Michael Pare again.

Well, so what's the big news? The original 44 episodes have gotten what they call a "Creator's Cut" remaster....in HD widescreen. So how will these be distributed? No actual news on this yet, but I can only hope that they will eventually get a BD release with the new season. Check out the news (along with a promotional video) at TVShowsOnDVD I've never seen the show, so I don't know what the original two seasons looked like in terms of VFX, so I can only hope that the VFX have been updated a bit.

The TV series had some cheesy special effects but it was okay, for a sci-fi show. The first season had the better episodes while the second series was just a continuation of the first season, following the disappearance of Dante Montana, where his niece, Percy, takes up the helm of his starship.

It's nice that this series is getting an HD remaster but it had the same atmospheric feel as SyFy's Lexx TV series.

I can say that the acting was mediocre but if you have nothing to watch, I'd give the first few episodes a look see. This is one of those shows where you either like or or you hate it. But, the writing isn't the best and neither are the specific effects. It's the characters in the series that drew me to this show.
