We should find out sooner or later if Sony pull a Blu Ray-R on us on this one like they did on Toni Erdmann.

I've been waiting for this one for a while....better not be a BD-R. Otherwise I'll have to import.

I bet it is BD-R. While also Oscar nominated, this didn't get nearly as much press/box office as TONI ERDMANN, so I feel if they went BD-R on that this will surely follow.

So far I only see a US DVD release for this on 06/06/17. Looks like not even a BD-R. Are there any English friendly imports out there?

Good luck with that. I doubt any of the foreign versions will have English subs. It is now June 6th and this is not available anywhere.

Sony pretty much dumped this one (and they didn't even know how to release Toni Erdmann, it played near me after it came out on DVD). Be happy there's even a DVD with extras.

I've checked all the other international releases and it looks like no english subs on any. Appears the UK blu-ray release also got cancelled. Probably have to get the DVD.

Decided to chance an order and even though Amazon lists this as a DVD, it came in the mail today.

It's the Blu-Ray!

I'll contact them and have them change it...what a muddle! How do I update it on the main database here?

Might be a BD-R....it's darker than a normal disc on the data side (pressed are usually more mirror/shiny, right?).

Ah, well....I wanted it in high def without importing it, so...I'm happy.

Great news about the Blu-ray release. Can you confirm the audio options available on the disc please? (eg Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby True HD/ DTS-HD MA)

And are there English subtitles?

It says on the Amazon page it is BD-R
