Never heard of this but with a description like this I think I will chance the blind buy.

I read about this a while back, heard Disney was not too pleased with the subject matter(as it was filmed in their park). I'm surprised it got released.
Definitely want to check this out.

The movie's apparently so flawed, Disney didn't even bother to sue its filmmaker.

The movie definitely has its flaws, but as a both a Disneyphile and a fan of surreal cinema, I was captivated. I'll buy it, especially since the cover art resembles that amazing poster.

I've heard the film does have it's flaws, but I find how the film was made very intriguing. I'll certainly give it a chance; hopefully there will be some extras that go into detail about the production...

There's an audio commentary and a behind the scenes doc. I'm very interested in both of those, especially the commentary. That justifies the purchase for me.

Apparently it will be a Best Buy Exclusive on BluRay until July 28. Other retails appear to only carry the DVD in the meantime. Luckily the current pre-order price for it is only $14.99.

Same here. I would never recommend it to others, but it fascinated me and I think about it (and its amazing amazing score) far more than I should.

The press release mentions an in-character commentary from the father. That's interesting, but I hope it's not the only commentary. It's kind of hard to say because the press release refers to the special features using both 'commentary' and 'commentaries'.

And it's also overblown because they green-screened many scenes (obviously so) so it's a cheat in that regard. As far as the last 45 minutes goes -- it's even worse than the first half. Unwatchably gory and stupid.

IMO I could not think of a worse film to recommend as a "blind buy" -- so rent before buying. I guarantee you most people will never set their eyes on this film ever again after one viewing, if they even make it that far.

When I first saw the trailer it had me pretty interested. Pretty crazy they filmed it at Disney without them even knowing.

I believe it's only being sold at BB for the first 3 months of release. After that, it will be widely released to Amazon and other retailers.
