I sometimes see deals from marketplace sellers on Amazon.UK that won't ship to the United States.
Can anyone here in the U.S. give me a heads up on what kind of shipping company you use to purchase titles in situations like this? I've found: https://www.forward2me.com/, http://www.ukpostbox.com/. http://www.borderlinx.com/US/en/ Anyone have experience with any of those companies? If so, are there any extra customs charges with bringing DVDs or Blu rays into the states using companies like this? |

With me, I've always used Amazon directly in their UK branch (I did their German branch for a sale of the Eureka Blu-Ray Collection) and Zavvi. The way it works usually is they tend to do Royal Mail most times, which means it takes about 2-4 weeks to get to you (I live on the edge of the Northeast part of the country, so I usually look at 2 weeks, 3 tops).
Customs usually will check any orders that are over a set value/weight, I think (they did it for my Agents of SHIELD S1 and S2 + Agent Carter S1 Blu's last month, but not for all the other stuff shipped, including my House M.D. Complete Series (which was bigger and heavier)). Don't be surprised if your package shows up opened and in a big. If you want to play it safe, I put my vote in for Zavvi and Amazon UK. Can't speak for others. |
