Default Lady from Shanghai local release playback issue

Does anyone have this I cant seem to play the disc it plays the TCM logo and then just remains with a black screen I think I really should upgrade but wonder if it has happened to anyone else

I don't have that particular film, but I have had similar issues with other Blu-Rays, in which only the logos play, but then it stalls before the main menu loads.

You need to try and test it on a different player. I could play my discs fine on my cheapy Veon player, but my former main Panasonic DMP-BD60 could not. It was a firmware issue.

My discs in question:

Blade Runner (USA)
Now You See Me (USA)
Hunger Games: Catching Fire (USA)

I'm in the U.S. and TCM had the distribution rights for this film for a very short time. I believe this disc is region A locked which could be the problem you are experiencing.

I've encountered a few discs that just don't like the firmware installed on a player. I second the comments to try a different player
