USA The Day of the Trifids (1962)...........

For years, I've been hearing about a massive restoration, of this classic sci-fi/horror movie. Has anyone heard of a future blu-ray release yet?

Here's another link of a screening at the MoMA in NYC. This was a creening of the restored print, back in 2010!!

IMHO, the BBC The Day of the Triffids mini-series from around 1981 is far superior to the 1960's film. I read the TDOTT novel, and the mini-series was much faithful to the source material, with some words/phrases lifted right from the book; it was also obviously much longer than the film.

Though the special effects were extremely minimal/non-existent in the mini-series (think of the '70's/'80's Dr. Who series), IMHO it still had a solid storyline - and, the large plants looked fairly good.
