Pulpy 20's-30's movies - Blu-ray Forum

Who else here is a fan of pulp films set in the 20's-30's era? Sadly a lot of these films don't do well at the box-office and that fate is reflected in their BD releases. The Phantom is only available as a barebones blu and The Shadow, which I think is a pretty good movie, has only a German BD release. I do wish such films could have wider releases with good hi-def presentations and at least a small platter of bonus features.

What other films are there that fall in this bracket? Any stuff not out on blu which would be on your wishlist? Post here.

Ah I guess the Indiana Jones films also fall in this category. Those, I suspect, will have a full featured release, given their large and rabid fanbase.

The Rocketeer comes to mind. Looks like Disney will release it soon.

its not exactly 'pulp' but The Good, the Bad, the Weird is an excellent korean action/adventure film set in the 30's with a heavy Indiana Jones vibe.
dont know if its what youre looking for but its a movie i cannot recommend enough.
