Default House of Bamboo on BD?

Is there any news of Sam Fuller's House Of Bamboo coming out on Region B blu-ray? The only available one is the hyper-expensive Twilight Time version. I do not want to spend that kind if money.

Unfortunately Simply Media released it on DVD 2 years ago - otherwise, I reckon Eureka almost certainly would have acquired the rights and licensed the 4K restoration from Fox already! Now they'll have to wait for Simply's rights to expire (which could be years).

I suppose Eureka doing some sort of deal with Simply Media so that the former can release it on BD is out of the question?

Unfortunately it is very unlikely unless the rights are split between separate rightsholders. Frustratingly, it seems that if one label licenses a title from a studio (in this case Fox), they're licensing the rights to the entire title on home video and not just a specific format - so since Simply Media apparently don't have the infrastructure for releasing Blu-ray, it seems a bit wasted that they just put it out on DVD only since there's a great master available for this film

I've had the same frustration with several other Simply Media titles of late (The Young Savages, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Incident, A Child is Waiting), and other labels do it too - Screenbound/Odeon are releasing Aldrich's Emperor of the North in November on DVD only, despite there being an excellent 4K Fox restoration available for that film too). Can't really blame them though, since they obviously want to acquire the best possible titles to release, but you kinda wonder how they swiped them away from the likes of Eureka, Arrow and BFI. If only there was a way of licensing a title for a specific format only - things would be much easier if that were the case (though we might see less Dual Format releases).

I have this and the PQ, to my admittedly untrained eye, looked very good.

Looks suspiciously like a Spanish bootleg to me.
