Janus' press note for this state that that the format is 2K, so I would doubt that there is going to be a 4K UHD for this. It's also not like there needs to be a 4K release for this.

Will wait till it plays on the Channel. As much as I love Murakami, adaptions are hit or miss.

I read that this is the forerunner for best international film fo the year. Really hope the Criterion isn't too far out.

One of them as the wins for International Feature this year from critics has been across the board. There's "Drive My Car", "The Worst Person in the World", "Flee" and even "Titane".

This one is definitely a hit. I saw it screened in a theater. I think that this is most likely the best film released this year.

Hopefully with the long-awaited Cure directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Kurosawa not only directed his latest Wife of a Spy co-written with Ryusuke Hamaguchi (and Tadashi Nohara, who also wrote Hamaguchi's 5-hour magnum opus Happy Hour) but also taught the director of Drive My Car at the Tokyo University of the Arts. So the two would make a handsome Japanese teacher-student-colleague double feature.

Both in the same month would simply be amazing, but even with all the good luck we've had with titles in the last month, I'm not holding my breath.
