Default What is wrong with the forum software?

For the past couple of weeks, Blu-ray.com forum has been doing this to me:

When I first Post Reply or Post New Thread, I get this, as normal:

But the moment I mouse over any of the toolbar buttons (smilies, font pulldown, undo, redo, boldface, whatever), the text box window spontaneously (and randomly) resizes itself...

And more often than not, it ends up looking like this:

I'm using Opera 9 as my browser. I can open the page fine in Internet Explorer... but I despise using IE, and this has only been happening recently.

Any ideas?

FireFox seems to be working fine. As does Safari. Must be an Opera error. Maybe Iceman can check it out.

Is this Opera 9 for your Desktop/laptop or the Mini version that you are operating on your PDA?

Desktop, Opera version 9.25 (latest version - I just upgraded and checked again, and it's still doing it).

hmm I do not have the slightest idea because of my inexperience with Opera but if you were dealing with Mozilla or IE I would say to Clear/Delete Cache and Cookies make sure your Java is updated and then restart your browser. Dont think I will be much help here, it may be the site that has the issue with the browser rather than the Browser having issues with the site.

I browse a number of other sites that use the same software (vBulletin) and none of them have this issue with Opera 9, so I have to assume it's something written into the site here.

Opera is a great browser but some websites(mostly designed in mind for IE) have glitches in Opera. I'm not sure if maybe your settings are off.

Weird... we haven't made any changes to our vBulletin software for quite some time. Most other sites are using VB 3.6.8, but we are using 3.6.0. Try finding another site that use VB 3.6.0 and see if you get the same error there.

You can also try Opera on another computer and see if you have the same problem on that computer. Since you recently upgraded Opera it's probably Opera or bad support for Opera in VB 3.6.0. It could also be our site, but we are using so little custom code for our forum so I don't think that's it.

When did you last upgrade your Opera browser, perhaps this is a problem with vBulletin and newer Opera versions that you therefore didn't run into before?
