I would like to put down my thoughts/reviews of the International crime/mystery genre episodes I watch. Would love to hear any/all who also enjoy this genre to put down theirs.
I'll start out with this one I watched! MASTERPIECE Mystery! on PBS. Prime Suspect: Tennison, Episode 1 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The year is 1973 and Jane Tennison (the beautiful Stefanie Martini) 22 (she is still living with her parents) is starting her job as a rookie at a Hackney police station, a really rough part of town. She has to tackle the on-the-job sexism while trying to prove her worth. She makes the mistake of getting too close to her male supervisor, DI Len Bradfield (Sam Reid). She is thrust into her first case which turns out to be the murder of a 17-year-old prostitute. In the by-line story there is the crime-family leader (Alun Armstrong) latest plot. This looks like my 'cup of tea' in this prequel that has that ambience I really enjoy. Looking forward to more! |
