Default Fox Catalog Prices

Fox is by far the most expenseive blu-ray studio, which I could justify because most of their recent releases have been stellar, but they give us no price break on catalog titles. That is rediculous! I know it had been discussed before, but every other studio i can think of sell their catalog releases for cheaper than new releases. I'm waiting on Wall Street, but at $27.95, I may just wait and get it used.

Needless to say, when there was a Fox BOGO, I grabbed up every title I figured I'd conceivably want. And I did grab The Simpsons Movie when it was $23.95. With Fox, you gotta pick your spots!

Thats why I waited till Amazon just had BOGO on fox movies and bought 8 of them.....BTW I said the same thing here before and I was told just not to buy it...so dont be surprise if you also get a smart-ass answer

Thy did go down in price on Amazon for awhile...I thought it might be a sign of a new price point, but it wasn't. I'd say all we can do is wait for BOGOs, price drops, and used discs.

I picked up The Day After Tomorrow a few days back and I got it for $23.99 at Walmart. It usually sells for over $34 so I had to pick it up but I haven't had the time to watch it. Too many games and movies to catch up to.

I find Fox titles in general to be expensive weather it being catalog or not.I usually wait to get them on sale or in a bogo.I still couldn't believe the Simpson's was 29.95.I mean for cartoon thats only 87 min long could have been much cheeper.
Its a bogo or sale item for me.

Frys had the Fox's onsale (2 weeks ago?) for $13.95, I picked-up 28 days later & The day after tomorrow + 2 other BD's; with tax & shipping it came to $18 each. I also picked-up The Simpsons for $23 at Amazon.

If I am not mistaken I believe Fox is more expensive because they use DTS MA on their titles, and to use DTS, there is a fee, thus causing the title to be more expensive.

That should only be a few cents over Dolby... wouldn't explain the $1-8 difference in price of their titles compared to everyone else's.
