Default A coincidence??

This was posted yesterday on the Red Kawa forum. Red Kawa formerly developed a PS3 DLNA Media streamer called PS3 Media Center X.

Seems like they liked the project but it is ending abruptly? Most likely they just don't have the time to develop it, but it's strange that this post came up yesterday.

Either way, it sucks because this was a good, free streamer.

The PS3 MCX pages and forums will remain online for now.

Using DLNA to stream your media from your PC, Max or NAS to the PS3 XMB is a FAR better solution than any web based solution can provide. If you absolutely need web based streaming, you could try using Orb, as a last resort. But it will be vastly inferior to getting DLNA streaming working

First time I heard about this software. Too bad they stopped developing it.

Somebody could just develop a PS3 DLNA Media client that supports only the media that PS3 supports. That way there's no need for transcoding - just streaming the actual file to the PS3. I was hoping SCE would develop one either as a free multiplatform program or for a fee.

Using WinMP 11 sucks 'cuz it doesn't recognize AAC/MP4 files. TVersity would transcode. Anybody know any other WinXP DLNA client?
