Default Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 Remastered - July 26th, 2016

http://gematsu.com/2016/06/marvel-ul...box-one-taiwan

Quote:
Activision is bringing Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, all previously released for older platforms, to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to ratings from the Taiwan Game Software Rating Information board.
It should be noted that the Taiwanese Ratings Board has previously outed the Bioshock Collection, Zombi, and Trials of the Blood Dragon.

As someone who has never played those games but always wanted to (especially Marvel Ultimate Alliance) this is quite exciting if true!

Oh, heck yes! I've been wanting to replay both Ultimate Alliance games for a while. Still sad more haven't been made (or even X-Men Legends games). Fingers crossed this is true!

Surprisingly, I haven't properly played this. Would be great if a remaster is coming.

If anyone has a PC, Id suggest getting MuA on there. There are tons of mods which add extra characters and costumes not found in the original games

The extra characters actually have a unique moves/power set?!

Yep. For example, here's a Rocket Raccoon mod added to the game

Fall of Cybertron is one of those games that could definitely use an HD upgrade. The game was fun as hell, but was one of the blurriest experiences I had on either PS3 or 360.

Comments like this always confuse me. If you always wanted to play them what stopped you from buying them for the last ten years?

To be fair, the Ultimate Alliance games are harder to find and more expensive than most games of their time. Both Ultimate Alliance games had strange shortages, and just checking Gamestop's website, both still cost $29.99 to buy pre-owned on the PS3. To get a new copy of Ultimate Alliance 2 on Amazon for the 360 costs $76.99! (though there are used copies you can pick up for quite a bit cheaper).

thank that to the licensing agreements. MvC2 on the PS2 also had a rather short print run bc of that

But you don't have other games to play now? I just don't understand why a game that was never high enough priority for you to bother buying it anytime during the past ten years has now piqued your interest.

Not sure I follow.

10 years is enough time to forget a lot of what you wanted. Ooo look over here instead.

With me personally there has never been a game that I was interested in but never ended up trying. Why would I spend $50 on a new release when there are plenty of older games of interest for under $10 that I haven't tried yet? The older stuff should therefore be higher priority. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 isn't quite that cheap but the same principle still applies.

It's especially weird for someone to say "I always wanted to try that" as if they missed their opportunity.

It's not that hard to understand. People move on. There are plenty of games I never played through bc I didn't have the time. You get distracted with newer releases that come out and the inclination to buy the other title dissipitates. My time is limited and I definitely don't have time to play everything I want especially as an older gamer. I now but less games but spend more time per game as opposed to buying a lot and quickly moving to the next. These re-releases bring things back to the forefront and back on people's radar.

I have plenty of other games to play now, thanks to PS+ and the amazing sales I've found on the PS Store or elsewhere. I've become a fan of remasters and the PS2 emulated games because they allow me to play a whole bunch of games I missed out on back in the day, now with better visuals (and trophies in some cases). As I said before, time can be an issue, especially as I get older and move on to other life changes, but if this rumor is true, I'll get it.
