These are most likely upscales! As far as I know only Japan has released a true HD version of Police Story, I have it in steelbook form.

i wouldnt buy any more of these dirty upscales since ABT has proven to be true HD. only upcoming "4K Releases" should be considered from HK.

Too bad we still can't get the original mono track of the movie, though. I think that I might wait and see if Nova Media will release ABT themselves (or someone else other than K&R). Hope they do. I certainly do not want to do anymore double-dipping on these titles.

True. If we stop buying these re-released upscaled "Blu rays" then it will only convince them to make more of them, because people buy them.

The only interesting thing is that the artwork is based on the Japanese release of the film, so it *could* have the Japanese theatrical cut on there... but in that case, you're just better off buying the newest Japanese blu-ray of just the first film.

And yeah, like everyone else here, it'll be safer to wait until it gets a 4K restoration... let's be honest, if Jackie's Lo Wei films are getting the treatment, then Police Story certainly will.
