Love the remake. It's a bold movie with Zombie going all white trash. At least during the 1st half. The 2nd half feels a bit uninspired given the fact that Zombie now has to remake Carpenter's movie in less than an hour. It's shot beautifully with amazing attention to detail and it has a wonderful soundtrack. 8/10.

Have you guys seen the Workprint? There are some really excellent scenes and extensions in it. Also love Monster Mash at the beginning instead of God of Thunder.

This one at least it had some interesting plot elements, decent kills, and passable cinematography. The acting, writing, dialogue, and pacing are where this movie falls short on.

Had the film ditched the second half entirely and added about 20-25 minutes to the young Myers story, I think it would of worked a lot better as it's own thing and avoided having to compete with Carpenter's vastly superior version. Suspense has never been a strong point for Zombie and that becomes glaringly obvious the moment he has to shift away from his white-trash gothic comfort zone.
