Havent really gone to repeat viewings of the same movie in a long time. I did go quite a bit last year for The Peanuts Movie, simply because I loved it so much.

Here is my list. I capped it at 4, because there are way too many movies I saw in theaters 2 or 3 times.

Star Wars Episode 5 - 17 viewings
Toy Story - 10 viewings
Good Burger - 8 viewings
Rugrats in Paris - 8 viewings
The Iron Giant - 7 viewings (+2 for the re-release)
Star Wars Episode 6 - 7 viewings
Spider Man (2002) - 7 viewings
The Lion King - 6 viewings (+4 viewings for the 3D re-release)
The Grinch - 6 viewings
The Incredibles - 5 viewings
A Goofy Movie - 5 viewings
The Rugrats Movie - 5 viewings
Oliver and Company - 5 viewings
The Flintsontes - 5 viewings
Star Wars Episode 1 - 4 viewings
Bruce Almighty - 4 viewings
Howl's Moving Castle - 4 viewings
Spider Man 2 (2004) - 4 viewings
The Peanuts Movie - 4 viewings
Napoleon Dynamite - 4 viewings

I saw Frozen (2013) in theaters 11 times. Though I don't remember how many of those I fully paid for as many of them came as free tickets from Disney Movie Rewards.

The Dark Knight Rises - 4 times
X-Men First Class - 3 times
LotR: RotK - 3 times

Mostly saw these movies more than twice because other people wanted to watch it at different times.

Normally if I like a movie enough I'd go watch it again but I can't go past two times without feeling burned out on the same content. I like to space out my repeat viewings. It helps maintain a "fresh" feeling. By the time I was watching TDKR for the 4th time in theaters I was getting bored and walked out for a bathroom break (which I would normally never do).

I saw Rock of Ages four or five times.

Looking back, I don't understand why as the film wasn't very good. I suppose it was because the soundtrack was killer.

The Avengers - 17 times

That's over a few years. I saw it 8 times the year it came out and saw it 9 more times due to marathons of other MCU films. For example TFA - TA - TWS, or THOR - TA - THOR:TDW, etc. It's one of those movies I love on the big screen and in a theater setting, but at home (outside of my projection setup) it doesn't work as well.

Titanic
- 7 Times

This includes Anniversary screenings and the 3D re-release.

I've seen multiple movies twice so I'm not going to list those.

I saw Shrek 2 at least 3 times in theaters ( one time at a drive- thru)

I saw Anchorman 2, 2 times. Each time with different people.

I saw Suicide squad 2 times as well. I didn't like it the first time, but I wasn't sure if whether it was because I overhyped it and it didn't meet expectations, or if it was just a bad movie, so I saw it a second time to confirm that it was indeed just a bad movie. Still own it though. Because I have a problem.

I think I saw the original Star Wars over 20 times in the cinema, but then I lived in a very small town with one screen and the same movie would play for like 6 weeks at a time.

The Force Awakens - 4 Times
Age of Ultron - 3 times

What's funny about seeing Age of Ultron 3 times is that I actually detest that movie, and seeing it 3 times cemented that.

I don't believe I've paid to see any film more than twice in theaters. The closest I've come is paying twice to see Batman v Superman in 70mm IMAX, and then attending a screening of the Ultimate Edition via free passes.

Saw Superman the Movie and ESB 18 times each.
Saw Jaws, Jaws 2, Star Wars, Raiders, ET, and many others upwards of 10 times or more. Course back in the day it was inexpensive to see a movie. Nowadays there are few movies I could sit through multiple times.

The most is Phantom Menace five times, though only with 3D re-release did I pay for since it was before high school (twice my mom paid, twice my older brother). Other films I've seen three times in theaters are Empire Strikes Back (all in the Special Edition release), Avatar, Jurassic Park, Toy Story, and The Force Awakens.
