[The Debts]

Synopsis: In the mid 1990's, 20 French urban dancers join together for a three-day rehearsal in a closed-down boarding school located at the heart of a forest to share one last dance. They then make one last party around a large sangria bowl. Quickly, the atmosphere becomes charged and a strange madness will seize them the whole night. If it seems obvious to them that they have been drugged, they neither know by who nor why. And it's soon impossible for them to resist to their neuroses and psychoses, numbed by the hypnotic and the increasing electric rhythm of the music. While some feel in paradise, most of them plunge into hell.

No, picture quality is not related to the content delivery medium (BD-ROM vs. BD-R) in this case.

Imagine a CD you burned at home as opposed to pressed one you'd buy in a store. They're less stable and more prone to damage.

There can also be compatibility issues with some BD players.

Noe really can’t catch a break. I remember my pre-order for Love 3D getting delayed and delayed until it got cancelled. Climax has had a really weird release both theatrically and on disc here.

And I feel like we will never see Irreversible and I stand Alone on Blu-ray stateside (the international Blu’s look terrible anyways)

Just go Region Free and import the Arrow disc.

I'm new to Gaspar Noe and pre-ordered Climax. After reading about his other movies I'm really curious about Enter the Void and Irreversible. Don't know if I have the stomach though for the extended rape scene or fire extinguisher head bashing. Some people said they never want to watch those scenes again.

Actually watching Gasper Noe's film in reserve is probably the way to go. He has actually gotten progressive tamer as the years have rolled on so you'll know when to stop if you want to. I actually find I Stand Alone his most disturbing film, closely followed by Irreversible but also he is at the top of the game with both of those.

Agreed, I found the scene where

insanely disturbing. Gaspar is a genius. The fire extinguisher scene in Irreversible has never bothered me though.
