Australia The Tea Party: The Reformation Tour - Live in Australia (November 7, 2012)

One week prior to The Tea Party's show at the Hordern Pavilion, Sydney on July 21, 2012 they announced they would be filming the concert for a live Blu-ray/DVD release. There have been some regular updates on the progress via their facebook page and now JB has listed it for release November 7, 2012.

The Tea Party are well known for their great live shows and after a seven year hiatus they re-formed and filmed the Sydney show for their first official concert release.

As a fan it'll be awesome to pick this up. Having seen my first Tea Party show 16 years ago I've been a long time fan and the boys are certainly enjoying being back together. Their last tour to our shores prior to their hiatus was still good but you could tell they were tiring of it. Not so now - their talent, energy and enjoyment are really evident in the shows they're putting on this year.

I lined up nice and early and had the good fortune of getting myself front and centre for the show:

For about 2 and a quarter hours The Tea Party played tracks from almost all of their albums with the exception of Seven Circles. They also threw in a few covers and some segues during their songs (as they often do). If the front of house mix was anything to go by it should be a great sounding Blu-ray.
