It says this was included on last year's 30th anniversary collection. Is it being released by itself now, even though it was only a 22-minute featurette?

If I recall correctly, the piece on the 30th-anniversary set was more focused on the end result. This seems to be far more in-depth.

In July we are releasing the full version (63 min) of the film on its own BluRay. It goes into much more depth than the featurette did - and contains additional interviews, more restoration details, and more history of the Time Machine. Moviefan2k4 is right, the featurette was intended to highlight the restoration. The full version covers the entire process and shows how downright brutal the restoration actually was.

We also included over 90 minutes of bonus content including: deleted scenes, featurettes and a full audio commentary with Joe Walser (Head of the Restoration) and myself. To top it off, we included an image gallery containing 88 behind the scenes photos taken during the restoration process.

I'm tremendously proud of OUTATIME. I felt this was a unique story that BTTF fans would enjoy. I hope you agree!

I'm undecided between buying this in blu-ray or iTunes... Is the bonus content included only in the blu-ray, or is it also on the iTunes version?

Blu-ray offers better video quality than iTunes.

If I may ask, how come you were considering the iTunes release?

Get the BluRay, definitely!

The BluRay contains the film, deleted scenes, 4 featurettes, feature length audio commentary, and bonus gallery of 88 photos from the restoration.

The iTunes version contains the film only.
