Default Pair up the greatest "Film Beginning - Film Ending" you can think of...

There surely are countless ones.

The films don't need to have anything in common other than one has arguably the best beginning and the other has the greatest ending.

My all-time ending came to me right away, but I was stuck on two all-time intros, so I offer two pairs. Feel free to choose for me...

Intro:Apocalypse Now 1979 (Willard superimposed over napalm)
Ending: La Dolce Vita 1960 (Marcello and the "girl of innocence" meet again and wave across the shore but he can't "connect" with her)

Intro:The Exorcist 1973 (Father Merrin gets a premonition of an adversary he knows all too well in dusty Iraq and knows what he must do as the red sun sets into current day Georgetown)
Ending: La Dolce Vita 1960

INTRO: Scream (1996): The whole beginning sequence with Casey alone in her house.

FINALE: Fight Club (1999): Narrator and Marla watching on as ... well, you know.

Inside Llewyn Davis's opening and closing are pretty WTF together.

Well, choosing from the same film, I would have to go with Irreversible.

Intro-Star Wars-Episode IV-A New Hope-Empire attacks and boards rebel shuttle.
Ending-The Sixth Sense. Never been shocked more by an ending than this one.

I don't get it, you're implying that the 2 films are very alike? Haven't seen Irreversible.

I think it's just the fact it's the same film.

They're certainly nothing alike, although Inside Llewyn Davis would certainly be I far more insane experience had it ended like Irreversible.

Yes, I was saying that if we are choosing a great beginning and ending from the same film, Irreversible would be my choice. If you had seen it, you would understand why.

Raiders Of The Lost Ark opening with the ending of The Wild Bunch; 2 terrific sequences of sustained action.

Oh okay, I misunderstood the topic, I thought we were just choosing a film with the best paired beginning and ending.
