Default I can't go to the menu in Leawo Blu-ray Player

Just like the topic title says, most of the times I can't go to the menu, the word is greyed out when watching the movie or film. Some exceptions are There Will Be Blood, Spirited Away, and Se7en.

When watching Sweet Smell of Success, it plays the commentary. When I'm trying to watch Apocalypse Now, it plays the redux version. I have an ASUS external hard drive and a Windows 10 desktop. I can't play the Blu-rays on PotPlayer or VLC, either.

So, how can I access the menu on Leawo if it's greyed out? Thanks in advance!

The only thing I can think of is to bring the playlist up and go from there, some BDs don't have menus you need to press pop-up on the remote, so it might cause an issue.

You could also try disabling the auto start function.

I disabled the auto-start, that didn't work.

I brought up the playlist for Apocalypse Now and that worked.

However, for Sweet Smell of Success, it seems like the "file" for the movie itself is missing. It only plays the movie with the commentary.

You don't have an option to change the audio stream with the right-click menu?

Hey, that worked! Thanks so much, chip! I'm new to Leawo so I must have glossed over that option! Thanks a lot!

Is there any way to organize the playlist in a numerical order? When I use the "play all episodes" option, Leawo just goes back to the main part of the Leawo program. How can I fix this?

You can use the + and - to add and delete items from the playlist, obviously it's not ideal, but with a bit of practice you could get used to arranging episodes in a preferred order.

Please kindly pardon my bumping this thread!

However, with my current Free Leawo Blu-ray Player setup, I'm unable to use Blu-ray Disc menus without Leawo player crashing.

Yes, I'm quite familiar with the drop down Title playlist option, as I have been utilizing this feature over the last couple of years.

Unfortunately, I've discovered my new Laurel & Hardy Year One Blu-ray set will only play the titles properly when accessing the main Blu-ray menu. My understanding is this is due to anti piracy measures designed to prevent individual titles from being ripped. When I go the drop down menu route, scenes from different shorts are mixed up in each title, with the exception of the two video based bonus features!

My question is, is there still any older free versions of Leawo that are more Blu-ray disc menu friendly, in that accessing them doesn't have a high tendency of crashing Leawo even with none of my browsers up and running? I desperately need to be able to play my discs properly on my PC, as I was planning to start a Facebook group in the new year that's dedicated to Laurel &/Or Hardy on Blu-ray. I'm not prepared to shell out $$ for alternative Blu-ray software, nor do I want to rip massive video files with a program such as AnyDVD converter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

CHEERS!

UPDATE: Thankfully, the free version of Cyberlink PowerDVD 22 I downloaded this morning WILL properly play the "Laurel & Hardy Year One" Blu-ray discs! This is almost certainly an anti-piracy issue, which I now have little doubt was deemed necessary by the prevalence of "Laurel Or Hardy" solo outings from that Blu-ray set on YouTube!

I'd still love to know if there's an existing free version of Leawo Blu-ray Player that plays nicer with Blu-ray disc menus!

Actually, can I ask how you managed this?? I've tried installing the free version of PowerDVD only to have Blu-ray playback instantly rejected - it told me I have to purchase in order to play.

As been posted many time Leawo does not necessarily support BD+ drm menus. But enjoy your trial PowerDVD.

I'll just drop in to say I've had similar issues with Leawo before. Sometimes Leawo can handle a blu-ray's menu, but often it can't. I've typically had Leawo go straight to playing the movie when it loads.
What's even more annoying, though, is that a while back Leawo's little remote control icon disappeared for me, so even when Leawo DID process the menu properly, I still couldn't use it functionally.
Lots of places claim Leawo's among the best softwares out there for playback, but I have my doubts - unless that just means most of the rest are even worse.

If you primarily use BD+ drm discs then you may get issues. Even old bundled commercial software do not support BD+ drm discs.
